Education
Lauren earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Alabama. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Birmingham.
Judicial Clerkship
After law school, Lauren served for two years as a Judicial Law Clerk for Circuit Judge James P. Smith in Madison County. In that role, she researched complex legal issues, drafted orders and opinions, and observed countless hearings and trials from behind the bench. That experience gave her a rare, firsthand look at which strategies and arguments resonate with judges, as well as which approaches fall short. By watching attorneys succeed and struggle in the courtroom, Lauren learned valuable lessons about effective advocacy that she now puts to work for her passion in representing families in a time of need.
An Analytical, Detail-Oriented Approach
In family law, the details matter. Lauren’s analytical mind and careful attention to detail help her identify key issues, anticipate challenges, and ensure nothing is overlooked, whether she is preparing financial disclosures, building a child custody case, or negotiating a settlement. Combined with her courtroom insight, this approach allows Lauren to give her clients clear guidance and strong advocacy during some of the most important moments of their lives.
Outside the Office
Outside the office, Lauren enjoys playing tennis and reading, and she’s also up before sunrise every day to exercise, a discipline that mirrors the same dedication she brings to every client she represents.
